Between the chaos caused early in their 2022-23 campaign by injury to big man Robert Williams III and the suspension and eventual firing of head coach Ime Udoka and the nagging inability to show up against lesser teams consistently, one would be forgiven if one were skeptical about the Boston Celtics‘ ability to make it back to the NBA Finals this season.
But Boston has a solid path back to the opportunity they let slip through their fingers when the Golden State Warriors beat them on their own home court to win the 2022 NBA title. Whether they can find a way to take advantage of that path remains to be seen.
