Hello, and welcome to our live coverage of the Monaco Grand Prix.
Formula 1 heads to the Circuit de Monaco street circuit in Monte Carlo this weekend for one of the most iconic races in the world. It’s the second leg of what was supposed to be a European “tripleheader” before the Emilia-Romagna GP cancellation last week.
It’s the sixth race of the season, and tensions up and down the grid are starting to mount – even though World Championship leader Max Verstappen’s Miami Grand Prix win leaves him 14 points ahead of second place (and Red Bull teammate) Sergio Pérez. Ferrari looked strong in practice, and teams like Mercedes are bringing new car upgrades to Monaco.
We’ll be recapping yesterday’s practices over the next hour as we build up to live lap-by-lap coverage of FP3 and qualifying later today. So don’t go anywhere!
