Giants signing dynamic receiver Parris Campbell in NFL free agency

Parris is coming to New York.

The Giants are expected to sign former Colts receiver Parris Campbell, The Post confirmed.

He provides the versatility that the coaching staff values and the high-end speed that was sorely missing from the receiver corps as currently constituted.

Campbell established himself as a true playmaker last season, when he had more targets (91), catches (63), yards (623) and touchdowns (three) than he did in his first three seasons combined.

He split his snaps between the slot and the perimeter.

“The versatility to play multiple spots will be important,” general manager Joe Schoen told his scouting staff when talking about wide receivers during a meeting shown on the team-produced “Giants Life” documentary.

“You have to be smart to play in our offense. To do what we want to do, you have to be able to move the guys around, and they have to be able to learn.”

The question with Campbell is durability.

The former second-round draft pick missed 34 games over his first three seasons due to injuries, but he must have received a high recommendation from Giants receivers coach Mike Groh, who previously overlapped with Campbell in Indianapolis for two seasons.
