The Gophers’ spring football game at 11 a.m. Saturday has been moved to the team’s indoor practice facility and will no longer be open to the public.
The U will no longer play the game at Huntington Bank Stadium and will postpone the annual diaper drive and oar collection to training camp in the fall.
Head coach P.J. Fleck said the location was changed due to the construction on scoreboards within the stadium and with the chance of poor weather on Saturday. The Gophers have moved most of their recent spring games indoors due to wintery weather.
“It is unfortunate that we need to move the game indoors … but we wanted to do what was best for our fans and student-athletes,” Fleck said in a statement.
Fans can still follow the game on the Big Ten Network and on the Gopher Radio Network.
